Student subscription but our University URL doesn't have the required TLD name

Hi everyone!
I am currently studying at an official Austrian private university and it is regulated under the EU rules and all the grades/degrees are completely official and equivalent to a state university. The problem is that our university URL has a .com ltd and not ac, school, or etc.
Does anyone have any experience getting a student subscription? Is it even possible to provide documents to prove the validity of the institute?
