I am coding a new admin panel. If I use the user’s smtp settings to send mail, will I get a rejection?
A friend said it would be healthier to send mail through the server instead of smtp. However, this feature is usually turned off in shared hosting packages. What are your recommendations?
No, the update should not get rejection for smtp settings but I would recommend make smtp optional. If your customer need smtp then they should have option to enable the smtp settings.

You have to follow their license terms. If allow for commercial use then you can.
