Slider text layers wrapping when they're not supposed to (Uncode Theme)

I am using the Uncode theme, and I’m creating a slider for my homepage.

I am trying to add two separate layers of text (both one line each), 4 circle shapes that will be clickable links, and it looks great before I preview. As soon as I preview it, the second layer wraps to several short lines of text, and the shapes are misaligned. Here is before previewing:

Ok, I fixed the text wrapping. I just extended the text field to give it some more room. However, the shapes are still misaligned.

If I move the shapes to the “wrong” place, then preview them, they are where I want them. But why this wonky workaround?
