Nice Workspace by the way.
Hehe, you’re wrong - I’m not smoking, I was using that light just to fool around when I was border, I know it might sound stupid, but you have to try it someday…

I don’t get the image tags. I tried.
I was going to start a similar thread but seems like I’m late (
btw, studio_21, is that Novation midi-keyboard? I wanna something like this )
…and…
AlumoAudio, adammonroe, what monitors do you use?
…and, finally,
ToivoMedia is the coolest, that sticks out a mile

Hey Permian, I’m using an oldish pair of Alesis Monitor Ones. Perfectly happy with the sound, so never got round to replacing them!

Out of curiosity, why do you use speakers instead of headphones? I have a pair of sennheiser HD280 Pros (The voice actors on family guy use these) and I don’t think you can replace the feel of your head vibrating from heavy bass.

I actually use a pair of AKG K271 Studio Headphones too whilst recording, arranging and proofing, but mastering should always be performed and committed through monitors.
Not to go off-topic here, but a mix may sound great, powerful and bassy through headphones, but as soon as it’s played back through speakers, can sound awful, muddy and full of artefacts that even the best headphones can’t reproduce. It’s a simple issue of soundwaves pushing the air from the source to the listeners ear.
If you can make a mix sound great through your monitors, chances are it will sound acceptable elsewhere too. It’s also a good idea to reference your mix on a variety of outputs.

A MBP and the MOTIF, a great combination, do you use mainstage on the MBP? I am planning on buying the KRONOS…

Behringer Truth B2031a. I think they are pretty accurate for the price. What AlumoAudio said about mixing with monitors is spot-on. I’ve had mixes sound great with headphones but when you turn on the monitors it’s BASS CITY.

Philo01 saidMy workspace :)
…Are you a wizard? Why are your monitors floating?
Ergotron stand? Suuureee, no. you’re a wizard.
I don’t see the problem. Mine are floating too. They are anchored in the back permitting a much wider motion

Could you provide a link to the wallpapers please? Nice workspace btw.
