Shortcodes not working in footer on Theme Settings

Hello all,

I just bought the Sportix theme and I wanted to use shortcodes in the footer of the site.
It doesn’t matter which plugin I install, they work everywhere on the site, but won’t work on the footer which I can customize from the Theme settings.

Also adding the function directly to functions.php doesn’t solve this issue.
The same behaviour occurs. (shortcode shows on other pages or parts of the site, but won’t show in the footer)

Is this behaviour by design? Or is there a way I can fix this?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Sounds like the theme needs an update. Contact the item author for the support

thank you for your reply.
The problem is, the author isn’t giving suport on the theme (anymore)
I already tried to contact the author directly, but no reply.

I was already afraid the answer to my question, would be something like your answer.
But thanks

I don’t think anyone here would be offering a free support for the item that doesn’t belong to them.
What I can offer, if you’re interested in, paid support/service for the theme update - otherwise, you need to find a solution on your own.

Hello,

It is possible that the Sportix theme has restrictions on the usage of shortcodes in the footer section. This could be due to the way the theme is designed or coded. However, there are a few things you can try to fix this issue:

  1. Check the theme documentation: Look for any information about using shortcodes in the footer section of the theme. It is possible that the theme has its own way of adding content to the footer, which might conflict with using shortcodes.
  2. Use a different method to add content to the footer: Instead of using shortcodes, you could try using custom HTML or PHP code to add the content you want to display in the footer. This might require some coding knowledge, but it would give you more control over the layout and styling of the footer.
  3. Contact the theme developer: If the above solutions don’t work, you can contact the developer of the Sportix theme and ask for assistance. They might have a solution or workaround for this issue, or they might be able to explain why shortcodes don’t work in the footer.

I hope this helps!

Thank you for your answer.

I will look again in the documentation, if I could find any, but couldn’t find it so far.
otherwise I think option 2 is my only option, because the developer, won’t react.
