currently I’m working on a website for a company that produces products for in warehouses. The company has 4 client groups:
- Architects
- Contractors
- Developers
- End-users
Each group of target audience needs different information about the same products. They don’t want to read the information that is for another group. For example. A Contractor doesn’t care about the insulation data of the product while an architect does.
We have decided to make a homepage where we give 4 options of groups to choose from. So when you choose architect you go to company.com/architect of you go to architect.company.com. The pages that follow (about products) contain just information a architect needs. Like CAD-files and color schemes.
I have 3 questions.
- How do you call a homepage that with segmentation options on it
- what is SEO friendly? architects.company.com of company.com/architects
- I wan’t some example pages to show to the company I’m working for. So please if you know a company that has a homepage where you choose what kind of user you are, share it with me.
