Hi everyone,
I recently submitted my template to ThemeForest, but unfortunately, it received a hard rejection. Since there wasn’t any specific feedback provided, I’m unsure where it fell short and how I can improve it for future submissions.
Here’s some information about my template:
Name: AQ - Personal Portfolio React Template
Category: Creative Portfolio
Key Features: responsive design, animations, clean code,
Live Demo: https://aq-react-portfolio-template.netlify.app/

I’d really appreciate your constructive feedback
Too basic
You need to think about other sections/layouts/options that add premium value
Plus things like having a portfolio with items that show ‘view’ on hover but just reload the page feels unfinished
Thank you, Charlie, for your feedback! I really appreciate the time you took to review my template and provide insights.
I’ll work on adding more sections, layouts, and functionality to enhance the premium value of the template. If you have any suggestions or examples of sections that would make it more competitive, I’d love to hear them.
Thanks again for your guidance—it means a lot!
Hey Charlie,
I hope you’re doing well!
I wanted to update you that I have successfully implemented Dark Mode and Light Mode functionality in my template. Alongside this, I have also resolved all the issues you mentioned previously.
Additionally, I took the initiative to enhance the template by leveraging insights from ThemeForest blogs and analyzing competitive websites. This helped me refine the overall experience, ensuring the template is both modern and user-friendly.
With these updates in place, I wanted to check if I can now resubmit the template for review. Please let me know if there are any additional guidelines or steps I should follow before resubmitting.

Looking forward to your feedback!

Same feedback applies and with respect there’s no chance this would be approved.
You have a portfolio where items just link to generic social media sites rather than any relevant detail to the project.
You will need to come up with a lot more features, sections, layouts and functionality to make it premium otherwise there’s nothing here that could not fairly easily be found for free online.
