search by length of song?

So I have a few video projects on the horizon and my goal is to keep them all under 1 minute in length, but there doesn’t seem to be a way to find music that fits this criteria, except by chance discovery. Is there a way to search for song tracks that are of a particular length of time?

If not, this would be very useful; if so, how?

Once music is established based on length of time, then a further search by theme would be very useful (although the titles used by composers are indeed very good).

Ideally I first create a concept for a video, then find the music that fits that concept. This allows me to refine the concept based on the inspiration that the music provides and allows me to create a beautifully integrated video. Because length of time can be critical to the message and influence the type of video footage that is created (or edited), it’s imperative to find the right music quickly so the project(s) can proceed without delay.

If I’m not mistaken, there’s no such option currently (although the improved search engine is supposedly being developed by the Envato marketplaces development team). However, I believe I’ve seen somebody explaining about a “hack” which helps achieve searching by the track length, but I can’t really remember how to do it. Maybe somebody else knows?

I think that if you send a message to the composer and ask him to make a “shortcut” of the original song you´ll meet with positive answers

Good luck with your video projects!

CHA!

Try to find it in my portfolio, i have a lot of 1minute tracks

Yes  For example: http://audiojungle.net/browse/attributes/length/1:00

Good luck with your videos!

There is a somewhat clumsy way to do this. Select a category that might work (say “Cinematic”) and then search by price. Next, look at the address bar and find where it says “page=1” and change the “1” to “20” and hit enter. You’ll see lots of tracks priced at $8; you can of course visit surrounding pages for other items that are in this price range, and therefore in the general time frame you’re looking for. Not very pretty, but perhaps it will help in some cases.

thanks everyone for your responses, yes these tips will help.

Thanks @PaBlikMM, I like that idea of requesting a short version, especially if I like the theme of a piece.

Interesting @ClassicBeauty to find the price ranges of a composer, that the $8 range roughly equates to shorter pieces, I’ll give it a try.

I’ll also check out all your work. I tend to bookmark first then if it’s right will make a purchase. Thanks again all.

I would also like to request a feature to search by track duration! That would greatly help my searching.

Yep it would be great a search by length, and BPM also !
And why not by instruments also…
Maybe one day

It is actually possible to search by bpm or length.
  • Search for BPM: http://audiojungle.net/browse/attributes/bpm/ (type the bpm you want here)
  • Search for length: http://audiojungle.net/browse/attributes/length/ (type the length you want here)

Nice, but how if I want a max length or a min BPM…

That’s kind of a roundabout, band-aid solution, but will do for now I suppose. The major detriment to that method is you can’t then narrow it down by category or any other attribute also.

BUMP

I’ve been trying these:

Search for BPM: https://audiojungle.net/browse/attributes/bpm/100 - this works

Search for length: https://audiojungle.net/browse/attributes/length/0:30 - this does not work

Is there any update on searching by length?

I have to make a series of 30 seconds videos and I need the track length to match.

And at the same time, to be able to select the category eg funk x 30 seconds?

you can search like this

But this way will only show you tracks that are 0:30 when a lot of authors create longer tracks and include 0:30 versions. So it is a limited search, but it works

Funk genre.

yes indeed CleanMagicAudio, I can see the length search filter here, but it does not work. The results do not show any kind of length filtering or sorting.

Alternatively, if we would sort the search results by length, that would help.

And I realise that music packs and music kits have multiple tracks within, and length searching would not be helpful for those items.

One of the versions of the track should be 0:30, it works for me. You see the total track length (in the search). Open any track in a separate page and you will see a match.
