Man, you posted something like 1000 replies in this thread… and now things are “not so bad”?
LOL, I am getting used to the mess I guess… is bad butstill alive…
In percentage, how much you did in Jan 2025 compared to Jan 2024?
30% less than last year, am I allowed to add the amount in the forum?
The amount is not that relevant.
Well, if you consider -30% as a good result…maybe you are getting addicted to the decrease.
Has been a strange month for me too. Very irregular sales, but considering I get 98% from each one (less bank fees), I made approx 20% more than 2024, but the recurring subscriptions model could change everything from 2026.
Envato’s traffic is at the minimum: high prices aren’t compatible with the classic marketplace’s low-budget customer. The key is making the most out of each single sale. Today more than ever.
Yeah getting used to it, I am working on a new project and my own website is woocomerce-based, I will finish by summer I guess.
I am glad you figured it out.
The tech industry is a mess but the way I see it the demand for dev will be crazy in 2-3 years because nobody gets into this field anymore as for AI replacing devs even if it would wirite 10k lines of code separated in many files bugs are inevitable and only a dev could even understand the bug… is not even close but again sharks are on atack to make billions with this.
In my opinion is the perfect time to start learning code, just some random thoughts…
0 Sales in 3 days, never happened in quite 10 years of work on CodeCanyon Market.
The 2025 seems promising…
Perhaps Envato needs to reconsider its marketing strategy and adopt a more open-minded approach toward newcomers with innovative, out-of-the-box ideas. Relying solely on established “Elite” authors may not bring fresh perspectives, but rather lead to a cycle of imitation, where new authors replicate Elite products to the point that creativity becomes stagnant.
Elements and creativity are incompatible
What he says here about Spotify,
is %100 precise regarding Elements as well.
The “Subscription model” has already failed.
Just a matter of time till Gumroad gets huge,
or Envato wakes up and backtracks.
Sorry, “Year in Review” doesn’t compensate,
I’ll even argue that it does the opposite - Kill our muse.
Atleast Spotify has raised prices for subscription according to inflation but Envato still ignores it and keeps steady despite all the logic. Prices must to increase!
Elements was a logical step toward mass produced generative items. Consumers want cheap, fast and unlimited media content, and they get it, along with the quality that comes with it.
At what cost?
You do realise that Envato is at the edge of the cliff, soon there will be no more Envato!
What do you think a subscription model means? It means paying to have access to tons of articles even if you never download them. Who gets the money from that subscription… them. The more articles they have, the more they can sustain themselves and the less money you get. What is the difference with the previous model? Was it more expensive for the user? Yes, but when you buy something with a personalized price it gains value and you pay more attention to it. And maybe even if there are tons of articles, the price and its value make the difference. Now with the subscription models, the personal brand of each one has been lost.
This is why Envato is what it is today and slowly it is losing its identity!
Thread marked as solved for some reason…
I had seen this too - I have removed the Solution but will check who marked it as that.
yes this subscription mode is unfair which is run by envato. it does not show how much our products were to download secondly if we all agreed to this model then at the beginning there was a bonus from all subscriptions and this is fair you can not first tempt with this bonus and then take it away when everyone is already drawn to the subscription. This model must be changed this bonus must be back to be fair. What is the point that we are in the subscription model and we get paid for our downloaded products!!! I do not see the point maybe someone will explain it to me
THe subscription mode Elements will be the end of Envato, why can’t you guys see this?
