Nobody understood, nor took the chance two years ago. I was also reported by another author for “unfair competition” because of my “trial license” banners (and this joke costs me ~500$ per month). It’s not my fault if I became a power elite despite of the crisis because of my solutions… and there’s plenty of authors here falling down on the “titanic deck”.
The fee (basically nothing for an author) is because of the very high server demand and the software maintainance. Do you work for free?
Anyway, as you can see (and as widely expected), the links have been removed by moderators. Good luck for the future guys
I don’t work for free but I don’t offer help then I ask money. Beside, no one would know what kind of information/data you’d be collecting on your system. Imagine I spend time and money to promote my items but but somehow you’re able to access the emails for your own marketing purpose - I’m not sure if you may have access or not but this is another issue that no one should use another system for sale. Everyone should create their own as the point, I was suggesting to upload the whole system WordPress.Org so everyone could see what’s going on. You could still charge if you want, there’s no objection to that.
I have suggested here or there to the authors to create their systems and manage the sales on their own. It’s nothing new ( I posted over two years ago when Studio was closed ) and if you are aware of the current situation, you could see how it ends anyway.
I expect a crappy forum post soon, thanks for everything yady yady yada, we are moving to a subscription model and TT and CC will go through this transit and who knows what other stupid thing… I just don’t understand how the brains of CEO’s work, I feel like they literally don’t understand how the business works and their function is to make as much money as possible without thinking of the future too much if things go wrong well we will sell it to the next in line until there is no value left and then another carry forum post but at that time nobody will care and move on with their own solutions or other marketplaces…
You did a great job guys killing us here, most of us spet our entire career creating amazing stuff and you literally treat it like is yours and has no value and it is, because if you don’t crate it and just receive it “for nothing” it is nothings right!
I am so tired of this why the heck nobody from the staff has the decency to talk with us, authors…!!!
I am concerned about the future of ThemeForest. Over the past few months, I have closely observed the top 30 sales weekly. Not only have my sales gradually decreased, but the sales of almost all products have seen an exponential drop over these months. Historically, there would be at least thousands or more views within the first few days after launching a new product. However, my most recent release couldn’t even reach 100 views. This is the worst situation I’ve seen in all my years as an author.
No sales for me in the last two weeks, I’m checking the traffic, lots of goes to “payment” section but there’s nothing… Funny thing, Elements earnings are going down this month, too
@BenLeong how is even possible that no one of the Envato/Shutterstock staff posts any kind of message… not even to say you are aware of the problem?
If we authors are losing 20%, 30%, and 60% in sales, the whole platform is losing millions and no words to share?
Shutterstock bought Envato only to see it losing its value on the market? By the way, Shutterstock lost its 25% value on the stock market during the last year: NYSE:SSTK - Google Search
YESSSSS! It was its competition I said it from day one!
THe new staff is exactly like the old one no communication with its authors total ignorance like we don’t exist, just wait for the next post on the from the staff, they literally want to kill this place so far nothing good has happened and yes Elemnts is falling too I said it Elements can’t thrive without the marketplace!
I really hope I am wrong I would hate to leave this place I still think it can be what it was once whre clients came for cools stuff and know that that it has serious authors.
It’s a bit difficult to compare 2019 to 2024. So much has changed in customer needs as well as new platforms and new competition. We’ve realized for some time that code and web are much better suited to the market environment rather than a subscription model.
It seems that most authors are already creating alternatives, and new marketplaces will rise from this Envato killed itself and I believe intentionally absolutely no attention si paid to the marketplace only Elements is all over the place don’t you guys know by now that it does not work anymore we better starve and find other opportunities than be part of this mess!
