So what was your plan here if they did pay you… have your account go to -$800 or something and be paying it back for next however many months?
Also… theres several reasons someone can choose from when initiating a chargeback. Some can be proven with evidence that you’re in the right and are owed the money… a lot can’t. And if the person is a scammer then they’re going to know which options to go for.
Say the card holder had their card stolen… if that’s the case, that’s a valid reason for a chargeback. If that’s not the case… what evidence can you provide to prove otherwise?
Chargeback and reversals are nothing new and are an issue for the majority of marketplaces, online businesses and stores. It’s an unfortunate part of doing business. Even if they are doing nothing when they could be doing something… I’m pretty sure if envato could do something about it that didnt cost more than doing nothing about it… they’d be doing that.
