Are you prepared to pay an extra 20% of your earnings to Envato for funding the elite team of 100+ full-time detectives who will sit around collecting evidence and managing tens of thousands of disputes simultaneously? Despite knowing that you’ll still be highly vulnerable to disputes, because many of them are actually situations that cannot be challenged?
Envato hasn’t been able to fix their support response times despite having several years and plenty of resources, which is another reason I’m not very optimistic about this idea. If it takes them 10 days to reply to a single customer for a basic request, then I am far from confident in their ability to successfully manage what you propose. I don’t mean to say it’s a bad idea, it’s just probably not the solution here.
Many people overestimate Envato and think it’s a massive corporation with unlimited money and resources; that it should have everything in perfect order and be capable of doing anything you want them to do on the spot. Far from the truth. It’s a relatively small, resource-conservative company that still has a lot to learn, much room to mature, and at least for now, very little manpower.
