Sad!

I mean as in ‘relating to the ideas or strategies of a particular party’ regarding the current status of the topic at hand. I am neither here nor there, I am interested in what the general consensus is, what would X want from X if X wanted X. Like, first impressions, would the current situation regarding titles, fit X? …don’t forget Y tho :stuck_out_tongue:

Has to be said that AurusAudio somehow broke through without being a long established author with loads of followers!

I do agree that tracks and authors can “break through”. I do not recall if AURUS had a featured track or not. If he pulled off what he did without ever being featured, I agree 100% that it’s an amazing accomplishment. If I do recall there has been a lot of publicity around his brand. The discussion though really goes back to “Sad” as in it’s sad that once again new items are seemingly not in favor with the algorithms. It’s sad that curated playlists can not be implemented across genre’s. it’s sad that we do not have an application system for new authors who show their ID and audition before getting a green light to upload. It’s sad that prices are still so low and we are not given the chance to raise them to $39 or $49 if we so chose to. I find it sad to see Soundroll dropping down in all honesty, one of the greatest writers/ producers on the site who held back from the keyword titling schemes/ games. Anyway, there are still great bright spots here. I do think it is so cool to sell music to people all over the world. I also think it’s cool to sell a few broadcast licenses out of nowhere and then even collect performance royalties from a big TV spot. That’s all very cool!

Aurus has never had a featured track and i’m pretty sure the publicity around his brand only happened after he became a big seller. He started on AJ only a little time before me so the contrast between our respective levels of success has always rather struck me! And I don’t think I can put it down to luck

But actually i agree with much of what you suggest. A big yes to curated playlists - don’t know if it would work but definitely worth a go. AJ is the go to site for instantly useable tracks for things like corporate in-house videos etc, but there are lot of really good more specialised tracks available - but only if you can find them! I suspect some buyers are happy to pay more to other sites just to avoid the hassle of spending endless time searching.

No, Just change name in edit and resubmit track, but it takes only between 5 and 15mn to be accepted (or not, if your new title is too long or inapropriate).
Don’t change anything else (zip name, etc…)
So, it’s not to complicated…

I’m very surprised !!!
I thought that “porn” was the first word in search engines
