Roofsie Theme “The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet”w

When trying to install the Roofsie theme I am having trouble loading it into wordpress as “The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet” Keeps popping up

  1. I tried to upload the zip file and the unzipped file
    2.There is no other zip files or child themes within the folder.

Im not to sure what the problem is as this is a theme for roofers

Hi Steve_somersetcontractors,

This error occurs when the file you are trying to upload into WordPress is not a valid theme file. Please go back to your downloads page and download the theme again, making sure to select “Installable WordPress file only.”

If you don’t see this option, then you may have purchased an item which is not compatible with WordPress. I would suggest contacting the author of the item you purchased to see if they offer a WordPress version and can help you exchange it.

Sorry! to say Roofsie is a html template. Also have PSD template but WordPress version not exist. So, you have purchased HTML/PSD template and you will not be able to use it in WordPress as like a theme.
