Review Acceptance Rates for Exclusive vs. Non-Exclusive Authors

Hello guys,

I hope you’re all having a great day! I wanted to reach out to fellow authors and contributors to gather your experiences and insights on a topic that’s been on my mind lately. Specifically, I’m interested in understanding if there’s any noticeable difference in the acceptance rates for items submitted by exclusive authors compared to non-exclusive authors.

As we know, Envato offers authors the choice to sell exclusively or non-exclusively on the platform, each with its own set of benefits and considerations. What I’m curious about is whether this choice impacts the review process and, consequently, the chances of an item being accepted or rejected.

Here are some questions I’d love to explore with you all:

  1. If you’ve submitted items both as an exclusive and non-exclusive author, have you noticed any variations in the review process?

  2. Do you believe that reviewers have different criteria or expectations for exclusive and non-exclusive items?

  3. Are there any specific tips or insights you’d like to share for authors who are trying to navigate the review process effectively, regardless of their exclusivity status?

  4. What has been your overall experience with the review process on Envato, and how do you think it relates to your exclusivity or non-exclusivity?

Please feel free to share your personal anecdotes, observations, or any data you’ve collected over time. Your input will be immensely valuable not only to me but also to many other authors looking to make informed decisions about their authorship status on Envato.

Let’s engage in a constructive and insightful discussion about this topic. Your experiences can provide valuable insights to authors at all stages of their Envato journey.
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and experiences!

Have a great day and sales as well!

I highly doubt that it makes any difference.

All items are reviewed by the same people regardless of author exclusivity.

There may be some degree of movement between new or power elite authors but not if they are exclusive/non-exclusive.
