I’m using the Milk theme for phpBB This theme loads Google Fonts and establishes a connection to Google in the background. This is extremely problematic in Germany and can lead to cease-and-desist letters from lawyers, often involving legal fees.
Therefore, I have stored the fonts locally on my server and would like to embed these local fonts instead. However, I have not yet been successful.
What changes are necessary to embed the local fonts properly?
You will need customization for the theme. You may contact the item author for the support, if you have active support period - although, due to it’s customization, the author may ask additional payment.
Other solution would be hiring a freelancer to do it for you, as it’s quite difficult to explain how to do it, you may still refer some documentations can be found online ( google ) but if you’re looking for a freelancer, I don’t mind to provide the support, it shouldn’t be taking long. The author has developed a great design. Unfortunately, he doesn’t respond, even though I have active support. That’s really disappointing.
