Hi all. Recently I received a hard reject from an html one-page website. I would like to know the reason. I will be glad to receive feedback, thank you.
You need to lose the trademarks
Design generally feels quite dated
Feels completely unfinished eg no product pages or proper product management/categorisation etc.
Everything just reloads the same page and esp if you are going with html and not a proper cms/e-commerce solution then there needs to be a lot more to it in terms of pages, features, functionality
Hi @Mindful-Design
Your design is too basic and similar other design approved themeforest. Try you make a design good quality and unique design. Thank you.
Regards.
Thank you!
Receiving a hard rejection can be disappointing, but it provides an opportunity to review the design and make necessary improvements. One common reason for hard rejections on platforms like Themeforest include issues related to design quality, user experience, responsiveness, code quality, originality, visual appeal, and adherence to design trends. It is essential to carefully analyze the feedback provided by Themeforest, as it can offer valuable insights into areas that need enhancement.
To address the hard rejection and enhance the chances of acceptance in the future, Mindful-Design should consider the following steps:
Review Feedback: Carefully review any feedback provided by the review team at Themeforest. Note any specific issues or areas for improvement highlighted in the rejection notice.
Evaluate Design Quality: Assess the overall design quality of the one-page website. Check for visual appeal, layout consistency, typography, color scheme, and overall aesthetics.
Check Responsiveness: Ensure that the website is fully responsive and displays correctly across various devices and screen sizes. Responsive design is essential for providing a seamless user experience.
Code Quality: Evaluate the code structure, cleanliness, and organization. Make sure the code is error-free, follows best practices, and is well-commented for readability.
Originality and Creativity: Ensure that the design elements, layout, and content are original and not copied from existing templates. Aim for creativity and uniqueness in the design.
User Experience (UX): Prioritize user experience by ensuring easy navigation, clear call-to-action buttons, and an intuitive layout that guides users through the website seamlessly.
Address Specific Feedback: If Themeforest provided specific feedback on areas that need improvement, focus on addressing those points effectively in the redesign.
Seek External Feedback: Consider seeking feedback from other designers or professionals in the field to gain different perspectives on the design and identify potential areas for enhancement.
Iterate and Improve: Make necessary revisions based on the feedback received and implement enhancements to the design to prepare for resubmission.
