Hey everyone! I’m currently working on a university project and I have a few questions that I’d like to ask stock music composers. It’s a music business related module where we have to pitch an idea for a business in the music industry. I’ve decided that my (made-up) business will be a platform that would, in brief summary, help stock music composers get their music licensed and help film/video creators find the perfect track for their project fast. I would be really grateful if some of you could provide me with quick answers to the following questions as that would really help me show that I’ve looked for evidence that my business would be successful and that I’ve done a good amount of market research for my project.
The three questions are:
- What frustrates you the most about the current music licensing climate?
- Are you concerned about losing your career to AI? Have you started re-considering music licensing altogether?
- In the last 3 months, have you made more or less profit from music licensing than you did the 3 months prior? Are you satisfied with this income?
Feel free to be as brief or detailed with your answers as you’d like and thank you so much for your help!
