problems with Ailsa Theme

I installed Ailsa theme. Will not install WP Bakery visual composer.
Tried to install live demo and now all i get is a white screen when I visit page and get error message that says:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function add_inline_style() in /home/ /public_html/blog/wp-content/plugins/ailsa-core/inc/custom-shortcodes/custom-shortcodes.php on line 239

Also can no longer upload photos. Error

The uploaded file could not be moved to wp-content/uploads/2018/02.

How should I proceed?
