Hello.

I have a big problem with the decibel theme and Upso Share Button. In fact, when I want to share it is an image of DECIBEL that appears and not my site. How do I solve this problem

Thank you very much for your help, it’s been a month that I’m looking for …

Hi @aniece18!

Yes, it looks like the Open Graph image on your site links to https://decibel.wolfthemes.com/master/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2015/02/share.jpg, and I couldn’t find anything in the theme’s documentation about how to change this.

I would recommend asking the author @Wolf-Themes via their support site, which I linked below:

Hope this helps!

Thank you very much for your answer.

I also noticed that the link was https://decibel.wolfthemes.com/master/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2015/02/share.jpg. Having bought DECIBEL more than a year ago, I have more support for help via WOLFTHEME I really do not know how.

Already I ask myself the question so that my post is seen by more people am I in the good category of the forum? I am French and I have a little trouble I do not speak English and I have to translate everything via Google translation.

Is it just for sharing the URL generally or for specific content on the site? Facebook makes this harder to control now and the best solution as @baileyherbert said is to use Open Graph Tags.

A few workarounds:

  • You have Yoast installed which can be used to fore edit this info/images

Depending on if you want to edit the image for the website generally (in Yoast’s ‘social’ settings. > click Facebook and edit info) or for a specific post (use the share icon at the bottom of the page (2nd down on the left)

  • You can manually insert OG info to the theme’s functions.php file but if you are not entirely comfortablele with PHP and have made a back up then this is probably not a good idea.

This is a useful link on all of this https://developers.facebook.com/docs/sharing/best-practices

thank you for your reply.

It works after installing Open Graph Tags, but I have not really understood how … the main thing is that it works.
