Problem with Envato API Authentication after enabling WP-Hide

Hello,
I’m using Soledad theme on my Wordpress site with a valid subscription. I’m also using Envato Market plugin to get the latest updates for the theme. Up to now, everything was working perfectly but today I activated a new plugin on my site to harden security: Wp-Hide plugin. This plugin rewrites some url’s and blocks some calls to api. I’m not sure which settings I made created this issue but now I’m seing an error on Envato Market plugins Health Check section:

  • Envato API AuthenticationNot currently authenticated with the Envato API. Please add your API token. An API token is required.

My API token is already added, I can see it on Settings tab. When I test api connection, it seems successful and says:

“All Single Use OAuth Personal Tokens have been verified.”

No other server related change happened. Only .htaccess file has changed.
Can you help me addressing the issue and fix it urgently?

@raiblue

And another reason why I don’t use Wordpress BUT if everything was working fine up until you activated a new plugin, then that is the issue.

I always advise anyone using WP to upload via FTP and keep backups EVERYTIME you make a change. That way it’s much easier to rollback.

My advise - contact your hosting provider and ask them to rollback a day or so on your website files, and that should hopefully solve your problem. A server rollback will also include the database so that would be my idea to try.

Thanks for advice. I don’t think it is necessary to rollback to a backup. My website and theme works fine. The only problem is this Envato Market plugin’s health check and I guess it is related to a failing reverse check (from Envato to my website).

I’d be glad if somebody explains how Envato Market plugin (Envato Market WordPress Plugin) works. WP website ↔ Envato api. I mean: probably there is a two way connection between these two, so which endpoints does it connect?

@raiblue

I have read about this somewhere before - the answer at the moment escapes me. Be patient and other forum members will chip in with hopefully the answer you need.

@raiblue

@123Simples thanks for your interest and effort. I’ve already checked if there is a problem in my personal Envato api tokens, but there is not.

Besides, I haven’t changed anything in Envato tokens side.
All I did was implementing some .htaccess restrictions to some endpoints via Wp-Hide plugin, which clearly affects Envato Market plugin to function properly. I’m adding that screenshots too:

I’ll be glad if somebody (maybe Envato Market WP plugin authors?) could help to address the issue.

@raiblue

Have you spoken to the theme developers of Soledad? @PenciDesign
