Plugin rejection

Plugin rejected for the third time. And yet it is well structured and with adequate documentation. I have been a contributor since 2007 and after a long period of inactivity I decided to propose some work again, I would not like the rejections to be linked to my very old account!
it was rejected after 5 minutes of loading and yet it’s a 30mb plugin and it doesn’t seem to have even been analyzed

This is the motivation:
Thank you for your submission. We have completed our review of “AI Image Optimizer” and unfortunately we found it isn’t at the quality standard required to move forward, and you won’t be able to re-submit this item again.

Without seeing the demo link it won’t be possible to offer any helpful feedback.

Share the demo here

I think that the link is useless, the plugin converts via AI directly into the webp format, the next update will also support the avif format, thanks aniway for your reply

The issue is that if the reviewer cannot test it in action (without needing to install things) then it probably wasn’t even reviewed and just auto hard rejected

ok I’ll try to give access to the admin side, thanks for the suggestion

Same rejection…
Hi francodane,
Here is a sample of your items reviewed for the day.

Hard rejected (1)
AI Image Optimizer

Did you include a hosted and functioning demo this time? If so what is tue link?

This sounds like a a type of item here there are potentially a lot of similar free alternatives so proper presentation e.g. a landing page that showcases features and examples and functioning demonstration of what makes it unique or premium will be essential.

Plus having been hard rejected twice you would need to make significant updates and changes to be able to resubmit it without the risk of being blocked

ok better to stop at this point. Thanks for your suggestion.
I will do some online research to check out similar plugins

Hello @charlie4282,

My plugin was rejected without a specific reason, despite meeting all WordPress requirements and coding standards. I reviewed the marketplace and found no plugin offering the same functionality I do. I submitted the HTML file description, preview image, thumbnail, documentation link and main plugin file (in a zip), a demo URL, a zip of preview screenshots, and tags. I omitted the “Optional Live Preview” field since I provided the demo URL (please advise if this was an error). is it possible the screenshots showing my WordPress backend (with other plugin names visible) could be an issue?. I’m unsure if the code was fully reviewed, though I believe it meets over 90% of quality standards. I kindly request any feedback on potential code issues, if it offers little to no value, or has similarities to existing plugins so I can address them. Theres nothing i can’t fix in this plugin if pointed at the right direction.

Thank you.

I may have noticed something. When i was uploading, when choosing upload category I chose “Plugins” category since its a wordpress plugin and an addon. I think I should have chosen “Wordpress” as the category since it also has options to select compatible versions and plugins while uploading. if this is the case, can someone tell me if I can re-upload for review once more, or they already new its a wordpress plugin uploaded in the wrong category and still rejected?

Without seeing the demo link it’s impossible to give feedback.

If the demo URL was not entered in the optional preview then that could impact it

what about the wrong category i chose?

Again without seeing the demo and what you actually submitted there’s no way to tell exactly

i provided this demor url: https://payelementor.avidnifirm.com/ even though i did not provide live preview file

This isn’t the type of item I am familiar with - it looks like this would be submitted as a plugin

@ki-themes would be better to offer opinions

its a normal wordpress plugin but an elementor addon as it adds a function to elementor forms functionality.

First of all, the payment is only for Africa, not internationally therefor you’re limiting the purchases if it was approved as plugin.

Secondly, it’d be hard to follow what the users are paying for. ( as in product ) and it should be managed via WooCommerce ( or similar ) so you ( you and the buyer ) could track the payment information, delivery information, etc. Right now, it looks like PayPal donate button.

Considering all of these, I don’t think it’s ready as “premium” item but you may offer this version for free on your website/github.

@francodane

It’s hard to comment without seeing the working demo as @charlie4282 suggested but there’re lots of Image optimizer outside, most of them are doing really good job for free, just adding an AI feature on top may sound interesting but not good enough to get the item approval as well as if the AI is not free or limited, buying the plugin would be useless that you could achieve the same with free plugin.

same issue face i with my app of anime site if any one can slove its good for me thank u
