Hi dear authors,
my last track has been rejected, I uploaded it in the ‘corporate’ category, I need some advice to understand the reasons of the refusal. Thank you in advance!
Sounds good in my opinion! if you look for something deeper, then I can say that the sound of the leading piano could be made softer, it is very
sticks out of the mix, hi-hat sounds rude and not dynamic, I think in this track it was worth adding more spatial percussions and hi-hat with panoramic transitions. It seems to me a little too much in the combination of a mute guitar and lead piano for 16-17 seconds. I feel that something is superfluous for my taste. it’s an individual matter, but I would start with a mute guitar melody and then connect the lead piano, and a lot of varied delay as a special effect
my track is a bit like yours, if it is interesting, listen to it will be more clear what I was trying to tell. although my track has 0 sales anyway I count it not a bad example my opinion may be wrong I’m not an experienced author
Thank you so much @BigStyle for your kind advices, I will try to improve, I go to hear your corporate track to understand better. Thanks again!
Ciao Roberto!
Hope it helps!
Not bad, a bit boring, but the main problem lies in the drums, the lack of bass and the synthesized strings.
Thank you so much for the feedback!
I used a pad sound for accompaniment, I could add strings for accompaniment and a bass line… what do you think about the piano sound?
Yes, I have to improve the drums for sure! Thanks a lot!
Figurati!
Grazie ancora, ciaooo!
Piano sounds great!!!
Thank you, very kind!
I really like it. Very nice sparkly presence - I think the synth strings are lovely.
I’d be frustrated if this were my piece being rejected.
I hear so many tracks that go nowhere, being successful by repeating the same nice phrase broken up by a reverse cymbal… this sounds like you may have gone down that avenue to fit in! So my opinion is the intro is great (maybe lose the bass drum) then cut big silent space in at 18 seconds, before getting the big guns out and making some excitement from that lovely intro.
Bear in mind though, I know absolutely nothing about getting tracks accepted. Just offering some input, because I appreciate all the input I can get with mine!
Good luck.
Thank you so much @megatalented for the comment, I appreciated a lot! I don’t understood well what you mean when you told ‘cut big silent space at 18 seconds, before getting the big guns out and making some excitement from that lovely intro’, what is the big silent space?
Thank you again, cheers!
Sorry, that wasn’t too clear! What I meant was…On that last A7 chord before going back to the root and starting the cycle again, maybe hold it for an extra bar and break the ostinato pattern to give more anticipation to the resolve - throw on a big reverse cymbal or similar, then go back to the D but now with heavier bass and drums. Just thinking that would make more of an effective intro and gives more variety of textures and somewhere more exciting to go to.
The overall sound I think is really pleasing - if it went somewhere exciting you’d have a winning piece of music in my opinion (If only I was the judge!).
Yes, I understood now your advice, thank you again for the time you spent for me, you’re very kind!
