I d like to hear critic or opinions why this work rejected.
We receive a lot of Christmas themed animations this time of year, and
therefore we’re very strict when reviewing these kinds of projects.
Because there is so much competition in this genre, we only accept
projects that we feel provide exceptional design quality and execution.
Unfortunately, this project does not meet our high standards for this
kind of style.
What do you want to know exactly? Specific details?
I think it’s pretty clear from the description you got from the reviewer: It’s good but not exceptional and is rejected because competition is very high in this genre.
These is new projects in HIVE for this year. I cant understand they are better than my work?

This is just for example. Some of them even nicer then my in some cases, but I think general level of my work in many cases higher. I cant understand why- this-ok. But my is no.
It’s sort of like a really weird combination between 2d and 3d. If you aimed this to be in a 3D style, it lacks a lot of detail, reflections, depth of field, shadows. If you’re aiming for a 2d animation you have too much detail then, and your focus would be on creating more fluid animation. So overall it feels “off”. The one version with the red background is extremely hard on the eyes
