I recently purchased a jQuery component which does not function after purchase. After asking question to the author , there is no reply neither the author replies in the comments section. I really need this working… how can I escalate this? Any suggestions would help me

Though if you’ve only waited a few hours since contacting the author, I suggest giving some more time.
Due to time differences and schedules, it can sometimes take 2-3 days for a response.
Check the authors comments and see if there is any activity. That’s usually a good sign for things (or bad)…
