New Elements Author payment system - rollout paused (see update)

Hi all. We’re investigating all of these questions at the moment. As we we work through the implementation of the payment system, we recognise that some authors are currently having problems entering payment details, or selecting a payout method.

I’ll update this thread as soon as we have more information on this.

We really appreciate having a bank transfer option for Elements. But is it possible to maintain the e-mail based method of getting paid through Payoneer? Even temporarily while we figure this out.

Please keep the email option. The code is already there, there’s no work for you and all you have to do is ask us to add our email again. Please

After updating the payment method, Pioneer has disappeared, how to reset it? Now only Bank account is shown.

Hi @BenLeong.
If we choose to get a direct transfer to our bank accounts will there be currency transfer fees? ex. Paypal is around 5% to transfer from usd to cad.

Any plans for the near future with merging both payments from Market and EE?

Ben had written in the other topic that it will be something like 1,9%. Not mentioning which currency rate they use which can make a huge difference too. This will always be less profitable than making convertion on your own in the bank with the lowest rates and fees possible.

That’s correct - our payments partner applies a 1.9% fee to convert to local currency, which then opens up faster and cheaper transfer methods than the (SWIFT-based) USD transfers.

@RedOctopus No plans for the near future. We’re working on getting the new system rolled out for all Elements author payouts first, and will integrate that system into Market later on (opening up all the non-SWIFT bank transfer options that Elements can now access). I’m not aware of any plans to combine the Market and Elements earnings into a single payout event, though.

@BenLeong Hi, I’ve set in “General Information” the Payoneer bank address “United States of America” and “1731 N Elm St Commerce, GA 30529 USA (First Century Bank NA)”, following the guide steps. Should I delete this payout set up I’ve already made and enter a different address?

@GoForMotion I’m waiting for updated advice on this, as the user interface change (separating out your address under General Information from the bank details in Payout Method) may have changed this. As soon as we have more information I’ll share it here, and update our Help Centre articles.

@Abdelrahman_El-masry & @devotchkah - unfortunately not. Our new payment system only supports Payoneer via the Bank Transfer method, instead of a native integration specific to Payoneer. The new system brings considerable advantages over the old one, but one of the tradeoffs is that it won’t support the old email-based method.

@PixelsMagic This one is connected to the issues I mentioned yesterday (missing Payout Method options) - it’s currently under investigation by our Author Earnings team.

Thanks everyone for your patience so far - I realise this process has been confusing over the last few days.

Any updates on the finalized process?
Thanks.

@BenLeong any update?

Hi all. Sorry for the delay - I’m currently waiting on clarifications about a few issues related to the questions in this thread.

We should have an update on the new payment system for you tomorrow evening.

Can you please add this new payment system to the marketplace, we would love to get our payments via other banks like Wise…

Hi all. We’ve been investigating issues preventing some authors from adding a Payout Method in the new payment system, and have chosen to delay the rollout of the new system until these have been resolved.

  • Your November Elements Earnings payment will be processed using the original Elements author payment system, using the payout details already listed for your account.

  • No action is needed in order to receive your November payment via the original system.

  • If you need to update your PayPal details, you can do this via the Elements Contributors app

  • If you need to change your Payoneer details, please open an Author Support ticket and they can help you with this.

We’ll be contacting all Elements authors by email on Friday, with more details.

 On that note - thank you to all those who have already confirmed payment details in the new system! I know that this delay will be frustrating for the people who’ve been eagerly awaiting new payment options, but it’s important that we can resolve all of these issues before starting to send payments via the new system.

@AB-TheDesigner We’re planning to move the Envato Market payments over to the new system after it’s up and running for Elements, so Market authors will get access to all the new Bank Transfer options (Wise etc) once that launches.

I did not change my payout system, it remains Payoneer as was previous. So my November payout receive as usually previously received?

@BenLeong Hi, I’ve already confirmed Payoneer as payout method the very same Monday that mail was sent to all of us and I’ve set in “General Information” the Payoneer bank address “United States of America” and “1731 N Elm St Commerce, GA 30529 USA (First Century Bank NA)”, following the guide steps. Will I have any problem to receive payment next month? Should I do something or nothing at all?
