Need your advice for hard rejected jazz piano track

Hi! just received a hard reject for this item. Comment is common: “This item does not meet the general commercial quality standard…”
Please, help me understand what I’m doing wrong. :slightly_frowning_face:

Hey @shur_duma! Beautiful modern jazz piece, and outstanding performance!

First off, a few specific details that I would rethink:

  1. Maybe you could add some nice, subtle reverb probably through an auxiliary send. I like the dry approach, but in a stock music context, some ambience might sweeten it up a bit for customers.
  2. The monophonic melody opening might be a bit long for commercial purposes. I would go straight to the chords-and-melody part (at 00:09), maybe with just one bar of intro notes.

That said, I’m not entirely sure if the AJ reviewers are looking for this genre right now, though I can think of many uses for it. Anyway, I’d try those tweaks, upload again, and see how it goes.
