Last week when I was upload my photos envato warning message I see "Please upload an approved color format (RGB) " but my photos sRGB what can i do?
Have you tried again? I’ve never seen this warning so I’m not sure what it could be. If you still can’t, I’d contact Help Desk.
From what I can find online, they are not the same. sRGB has fewer colors than RGB so that might be the problem.
“RGB has a broader range of colors than sRGB, but many of them are not visible to the human eye.”
sRGB and Adobe RGB are ways to represent colors. sRGB is sufficient for most uses and has a smaller range of colors, mainly noticeable in blues and greens. Adobe RGB has a wider range of these colors, making it better for high-quality prints and RAW photography.
The two are distinctly different as @MargJohnsonVA has said.
Image / Mode / Convert to profile [choose RGB].
But I am last 5 years uploaded all my photos same sRGB which my camera settings i setup. Why 5 years i can upload and all accepted then July 2024 this warning visible? Isn’t that weird? I don’t like that. I will not upload anymore envato. What is this all around World image agencies accept but envato put front of me this strange limitation. I don’t even understand the problem with a photo being sRGB or not. I don’t use Adobe RGB. I know Adobe RGB covers a wider color space.
Thank you for your interest.
It might be the new limitations are part of the new website they just launched. Have you reached out to Help Desk to see if you can get an official answer and possible resolution?
Yes I wrote Help Desk, waiting answer. Thanks. Yes can be new but i think it can be envato’s problem. Because other image agencies accept getty images, adobe stock, dreamstime is accept.
Please post an update when you hear back from them.
I don’t use Photoshop, so I could be wrong, but it appears the issue is that you have your destination space profile set to CMYK when it should be RGB. Source format doesn’t really matter if you end up exporting in a different format.
Convert your photos from sRGB to RGB format using software like Photoshop or an online converter, then re-upload them to Envato.
Envato fix that problem. I wrote there “Last 5 years or whole my life I set my camera settings sRGB and uploaded Envato sRGB never saw this problem” so is it not show problem can be from Envato service side, not about my photos?
Whatever, how they fix but it is fixed. My sRGB photos can accepted, i can’t change anything and upload well like last 5 years how i did.
