I would say the effects used don’t create a “current” style 
looks more like something from 2008 or so.
I think it’s mostly the background with weird shapes blinking and also the way the text reveals from this glowy smushed color layer… looks very “muddy” and not clean/slick or minimal, something that’s more of a trend now.
I would suggest looking up behance and dribbble to see what’s trending now and this style definitely isn’t there unfortunately. Anyways keep on improving!
