EDIT: I’ve removed this as I don’t feel I’ve written professionally. I stand by my idea though so give me a short while and I’ll update this with a clear, concise reasoning I’m happy with.

Yes, such a reasoning is just as stupid as bringing your car to the repair shop, but refusing to hand over the car keys. And then to turn around and give a bad review on Yelp, because the car couldn’t be fixed because the repair guys couldn’t open a single door or the hood, due to lack of keys.
