Music Standard License Question

#1

I’m a video content producer on Youtube and I struggle with finding the right music, fortunately I have come across some interesting tracks on AudioJungle but I’m confused about the licenses.
Which license would I need to purchase to use a single song in multiple videos?
My content is non-commercial if that is of any relevance.

Depends on the nature of your videos, if they can be considered a series:

Answers: What is a single application?

Do I need a separate license each time I use an item in a series?
No. You only need to purchase the item once per series.

What constitutes a series (eg TV series, webisodes, or a magazine with monthly editions)?
To be considered a series, all things in the series (eg episode,
edition) must be connected, and be released within 1 year of the first
installment. There is also a maximum of 52 episodes or editions within
the series.

Example: A 12 episode TV series that starts in
December and ends in July would only require a single license. A YouTube
series that releases an episode every week (52 total) would only need
to purchase a license once every year. A magazine that releases an
edition every other month would need to purchase a license once every
year.

Additionally, there really isn’t a multi-use license for music, but there are multi-use licenses for sound effects and videos.

I’m producing a visual novel “style” video series which will release in episodes.
If I understand you correctly I can use a single license for up to 52 episodes for as long as a year.
Also is the 1 year time period based on the first installment of a series or date of purchase?

Sounds like you should be covered.

“To be considered a series, all things in the series (eg episode, edition) must be connected, and be released within 1 year of the first installment.”

I believe the year would start from whenever you upload your first video.

This seems very interesting @SerriniaCorp - I’d love to see the final product! My brother is an author as well and is trying out some things to promote his work - do you plan on promoting it on Youtube or Vimeo? Keep us all updated here at Envato! - Adam
