Are there discounts if purchasing a theme that will be used for a brand for many locations/domains? I assume I have to buy one license per domain.

You have to purchase individual license for each domain/installation.

No, there is no such discount opportunities when buying in bulk.
But some authors give discount for their item and all customer can get that discount for purchasing any number of license.
