Hey everyone. I’m new to using templates in AE (usually create my own) and a client just sent me an Envato template. When I open it, it says that “Element” is missing.
What is this, and how do I fix this? I don’t know if it’s an effect or plugin or what. It’s not a file, as it’s not included in the footage folder or anywhere else.

It must be “Element” plugin what is missing. If the project has 3D elements, you will need to install this plugin, any other way will be impossible that you can see the whole complete project, since there are layers depending on this “Element 3D” plugin from VideoCopilot.

I have the Element 3D installed, and the effect shows up as being there, but it doesn’t actually work.
Maybe “Element” is the name of some asset or comp inside some composition, so in this case you have to find it and relink it to the right folder.
If this doesn’t work, I suggest you to contact the author of the item using the name of the project to search for the author in Videohive site, then you can ask for support sending a message to the author via his/her profile page on Videohive.
