This is the other problem of Envato, they still do not care about ID verification and other stuff, which I described above. I am sure endless flow of new items happens always.
And what they exactly tried? They just said something, which has nothing to do with currenty reality of state. Where are 7-10 days of promised review? Latest updated says that they just hired 30% of reviewers and here is July of 2016. So 100% will be on the September? Or October?
I think ID verification is a must @TitanSlayer . There are some dubious practices going on here as itās very easy to open multiple accounts etc. spread your work out with different mixes/versions and titles of the same song. Give positive feedback on your own material by yourself from another account etc. Itās all open for fraud at the moment.
Envato remain very silent as they are currently doing very well out of it, but ultimately in the long run , it could damage the reputation of the library.
I donāt see whats the difference between 10 or 30 days, if you compose 8 tracks per month , the next month this tracks will be on the marketā¦and so onā¦ Itās probably more difficult for new users to build portfolio with 30 days delayā¦
Or , maybe Iām wrong
Hi @Echobrainz ,itās right what youāre saying however I find it frustrating as I regularly take a month off Envato to do other workā¦
Iām curious why many people continuously think there was an ironclad āpromiseā?
There was no guaranteed promise, folks, sincerely. There was a stated intention to work towards a desired goal, which had distinct variables involved.
The statement from HQ management said :
Note that it said depending on content growth, and aiming is distinct from promising aswell. The reality is, growth has continued to increase, significantly. So the fact that the queue times have Not increased accordingly (to 45 days+?) is the first sign that they are contained. And thatās a good sign.
Second, the date today is less than 2 weeks past the end of June. So in relative timeframes, weāre still quite in that Summer zone.
Now, as many have seen the downtrend has already begun, Several new reviewers have been hired in the past few weeks, but no one jumps in the queue immediatelyā¦ They have to go through the training! Right?
Now a reviewer training can take some time, you can understand, Iām sure. While that training happens, other reviewers are also slightly slowed as they assist with training.
If another reviewer also needs to take a few days off for family travel, independently of team growth, the review team is simply not at full review operational capacity until training is fully complete, and then still it takes a few more weeks for new reviewers to get to normal speed, after training. But itās almost done.
So again, there are no promises. However, since we can see that the general queue time is dropping already by a few days, slowly and continuously from its last peak, once the full team with all the new reviewers will be operating at full capacity, it stands to reason that the downtrend rate will increase faster. Time will tell, with the coming weeks, but that is the goal. Itās the same goal as stated above, relatively, and again it depends on variables as mentioned.
Hope that helps clarify the situation. Thanks everyone
Thanks Adrien!
Thanks for the update, Adrien. I am not aiming to express gratitude. It is an ironclad promise that your post is appreciated.
I think just some open communication (like this) is really what we need. It was just a little off-putting that the goal for June was to reduce queue from around 20 days to 7-10 days and then the queue ended up jumping from 20 to 30 days.
Everyone has hiccups in meeting their goals, and I think the community understands that. Being informed goes a long way in helping reduce review time anxiety.
It hasnāt been so much a " Promise " generally, Adrien, but when Envato have remained silent, until now, on why they failed in reaching their aimed goal , and what the future entails, authors are naturally going to feel anxious. The forums are a useful place to let off a bit of steam and frustration, and, in this case, to find out what is actually going on.
Thanks
Gary
Thanks for update. Glad you paying attention on such problems.
Cheers
how many? did they hire? the time has decreased from 30 days to 28-29 days only
thanks Adrien, it is a good news to know that you guys are striving to decrease the time of reviewal. of course, we also understand the law of a market, which means, if the time decreases, it also might mean there is more and more new tracks, that will definitely drop the sales. As we say here in Ukraine/Russia- it is impossible to give everything to everybody, because everybody is many and everything is lowā¦
hopefully, you guys know what you do)
thanks again for bringing some light upon the times of reviewal
