The series is called “In My City” and it’s a city-based video series that examines Hip Hop culture in smaller US markets. It begs the question: what happens to the people in the middle? What is the underlying culture of cities like San Antonio? What do artists from Denver sound like and where do they find their influences? What do Indianapolis radio stations play and do they support local artists? What is the history behind how bigger artists from Minneapolis have gained worldwide notoriety? What is the Hip Hop scene like in the cities we overlook?

I used @AudioPrince’s gobsmackingly gorgeous festive anthem “This Is Christmas” (available here: https://audiojungle.net/item/this-is-christmas/9696268)
I used the music as the soundtrack to a short film I shot to document our local town’s annual Christmas fair/lights switch on. I wanted to capture the magic of the event, and the music helps to achieve this. It turned out to be something quite beautiful, and has been compared countless times now to the likes of the John Lewis ad.
The Facebook link (included at the bottom) has already accumulated over 17,000 views in the first 24 hours alone!
It’s really taken off on Facebook. So it’s worth checking that link out too. But I appreciate that YouTube is more accessible on forums sometimes, so I’ve included a fresh YouTube link too, though that one hasn’t really been shared around, and thus hasn’t got any hits.
