If you have a WooCommerce site and you go to a child category shop page, the size filter widget doesn’t work correctly. Say you have a shirt in 2 sizes but one size is in stock and one size is out of stock, it won’t hide the product from the child category page for the out of stock size.
In that thread from 2014 this was mentioned as an issue but Mike Jolley said it can’t be solved but “1 possible idea will be to assign terms to variations directly and query those, but it will still require 2 queries at run time - 1 for parents excl. variable and 1 for variations.” I need a solution to this as this is an issue on a live site.
