Looking for Theme with Vice I-D Features

Hi everybody,
I am a total Wordpress-Newbie and I need your help. For a magazine-project I am looking for a theme that includes two features that you also find on the website of vice I-D. (http://i-d.vice.com/de_de) Since I have no idea how this works I am lacking the proper terms of the features, so that i could search this site for a theme that fits.
The features are:

  1. Header: The Header should be a full screen picture of a blogpost. It should works as a carousel of four blog posts.
  2. The fixed category bar should open with a mouseover a horizontal line of tiles-pictures, that teaser the blog posts in this category. Only pictures, no text.

As you can tell, I have no idea of this stuff. So I am more than happy for any hint to a specific theme or clarification of terms, which i could use for my search.
