I bought a template and since the author is nowhere to be found (support wise) for almost 2 months now, I need to know how to achieve the following:
I have several fields on my website where I can show twitter posts. Now I would like to have my twitter posts also being shown directly on my website, as soon as I post them on twitter.
Does anyone know how to achieve that? I did hear sth of an API but how to get that working is some task for me right now 
I hope someone can help me out here.

I have never done this but I have spent 5min on Google
I think this will do job for you. Use this link - https://publish.twitter.com and there you will create your own embed code and just copy/past code on your site.

thank you very much for this reply. That one KINDA helped me and I will use this option if there is no other way. See that’s what it looks like:
But the template showes this:
So I want to automatically have the last post to be shown but only the first few words - if that makes sense… Maybe that’s not even possible and I just assumed that it is, because of the template.
What are your thoughts?

That is an easy and fast way - if you need to do some more customization there (control number of words, make custom design/layout) - you will need to use API. I don’t have experience with that part.
