Licensing & Security Concerns for Perfex CRM Modules

Hello authors and Envato team,

We’ve identified a critical issue where buyers are using regular licenses for Perfex CRM modules in SaaS businesses, violating Envato’s licensing policy.

Issue

  • Buyers integrate modules into multi-tenant SaaS solutions and charge customers, which requires an extended license but is being done with a regular license.
  • The Perfex CRM SaaS Module includes a feature that shares super admin settings (tbl_options), including sensitive data like licensing details and purchase codes, with tenant databases.
  • This flaw allows buyers using a regular license to exploit the system, enabling unauthorized multi-tenant usage and violating Envato’s licensing terms.
  • A SaaS module for Perfex CRM shares super admin settings, purchase codes, and database options across tenants, allowing one purchase code to work on multiple subdomains—effectively bypassing licensing restrictions.
  • This impacts all Perfex CRM modules, not just ours.

Why is This Happening?

  • The SaaS module shares global settings across tenants, including licensing data.
  • Buyers may be unaware or intentionally ignoring licensing terms.
  • Some buyers refuse to upgrade, and when confronted, demand refunds or threaten negative reviews.

Seeking Input

This issue affects all Perfex CRM module authors. How are you handling licensing enforcement in SaaS setups? What solutions do you suggest?

Looking forward to your thoughts!

Best regards,

If you face any Envato policy breach, contact Envato and provide the information.

One of buyer I had, he was using the script on two website ( end-product ) and they have “forced” him to purchase another copy. ( Or if blocking the account )

They should be strict about the same situation… No need to ask suggestions here, solve the issue with support.
