I’m making a series of video quizzes for a client. We plan to use the same music track to open each quiz.
Being that this is a connected series of clips, does it count as one project for Licensing purposes (it is one paycheck for me, so I view it as one project - but it is technically going to be 5 or 10 individual videos despite being connected as a series) or will I need a new License.for each “chapter” in the job. It’s not like the question I found in my search where “similar” videos all needed individual licenses - these are a serialized group that are definitely connected and that makes this confusing to me.
I’m using Elements so it’s not a financial concern, but it is a Legal concern in case uploading the same License for different clips (should youtube ask for them) may present complications. In fact, if the “Serial License” applies here, I may even go buy it from the Marketplace to help the Author out.
I didn’t see the Series Policy detailed anywhere, but heard it mentioned in threads here. Is it a separate purchase or does it come with any sale of music from Audiojungle?
What constitutes a series (eg TV series, webisodes, or a magazine with monthly editions)?
To be considered a series, all things in the series (eg episode, edition) must be connected, and be released within 1 year of the first installment. There is also a maximum of 52 episodes or editions within the series.
Example: A 12 episode TV series that starts in December and ends in July would only require a single license. A YouTube series that releases an episode every week (52 total) would only need to purchase a license once every year. A magazine that releases an edition every other month would need to purchase a license once every year.
