and i would like to run it on at least 2 and maybe 3 of my domains. do i have to buy the license three times?
Yes, for each domain you need a new license.

does the license for 1 domain include updates to the theme (and packaged plugins) for life? or does it stop updating after 6 months?
You will get lifetime updates (or until the item is active here on Envato).
Support is limited to 6 months (you can buy additional support after that).
