Is the Licence code the same as purchase code

Hello

Is the licence code the same as purchase code? My developer keeps asking me for the licence code and apparently I keep giving her a purchase code. Also my updates dont happen automatically and fail to install. Keep getting emails about this failure and have to fix manually.

The download option is license certificate (all the info about your purchase) and the purchase code what you/the developer needs to use to activate the envato plugin etc. for updates
