Is scripts sold in CodeCanyon free from any kind of code locking?

Hello everybody,

I’ve purchased PHP application from a website (not CodeCanyon).

The developer has locked some of the script. To run the application, I need ionCube installed on the server.
Running the application quite slow sometime. IMHO, the code that has been locked by developer make additional request.

I’m now looking for web application but need without any kind of code locking.

My question:
Is scripts sold in CodeCanyon free from any kind of code locking?

Some authors use base64 to hide some codes but it is easy to recover code.

As far as i know, encoding in the manner that later you need things like ionCube on the server is not allowed, so most likely you won’t find such scripts here.
But you can ask this before you buy, just to be sure :wink:

There is such hidden code or lock code in codecanyon, if you read their policy they clearly said files should be human readable so buyer can edit it to fit according to their needs. CodeCanyon review process also makes sure that code is unlock and properly readable before approved item.
