If I am planning to develop a mobile app for some popular WordPress themes that are sold here, do I need to have a permission? Keep in mind that there is no code or any type of work that is taken from any theme.

If you plan to sell the app as a commercial product—especially through marketplaces like CodeCanyon or the App Store—you may need permission, depending on how closely it’s tied to the theme.

You need permission from its original author ( written ) to transfer the item to something else.
You’re not allowed to sell someone else work.
