Inquiry Regarding Discrepancy in Tax Deductions on Envato

Hello everyone,

I hope you are all doing well. I’d like to discuss an issue I’ve encountered with tax deductions on Envato and hope to gain some insights or advice from this community.

According to Envato’s policy, tax deductions should be around 15% of our earnings. However, recently, I’ve noticed that my tax deductions are significantly higher than expected. For example, with earnings of $1365, I expected a tax deduction of approximately $204.75 (15%), but I’ve actually been subjected to a tax deduction of $304.50, which is equivalent to 22.31%.

I understand that last month, I may have made a mistake by not filling out the tax form, resulting in a 30% deduction. However, I have since rectified this and provided the necessary tax information.

Has anyone experienced a similar situation or have information on why my tax deductions remain high even after correcting my tax information? I would greatly appreciate any assistance or advice you can provide.

Thank you very much for your time and attention.

I think the extra around $100 you had paid for not filling out the tax form (your last month). So, previous month(s) has taken 15% according to your country WHT and for the last month it was 30%.

Unfortunately, last month I was already deducted a flat 30%, and it was my first payout.
