❗ Important notice for Code authors: Upcoming Changes to Twitter’s API

Last Thursday, Twitter announced that it will be ending free access to its API on Thursday 9th February.

Their official announcement reads “Starting February 9, we will no longer support free access to the Twitter API, both v2 and v1.1. A paid basic tier will be available instead.”

You can find the full announcement in this Tweet:

We expect further announcements to be made by Twitter, so if you have any items that use the Twitter API, either v2 or 1.1, please keep an eye on the @TwitterDev account for more information.

As further information is released, please consider how to manage this for your CodeCanyon items including planning how to support your customers as they navigate the impact of this change and making sure your item continues to work from a technical perspective. You should also consider updating your item description to make future customers aware of the requirements for using your item, including any introduced by Twitter in the coming days.

If you wish to remove an item from sale, please submit a ticket to Envato Support so that it can be soft-disabled for you.
