Hello everybody,
I hope you are all doing well. It has been a few years since I last uploaded a track due to a busy life. I’m happy to see that some authors are still here since I left, which gives me hope to come back and make music.
However, I’ve noticed a significant decrease in the sales Monitor for many authors, which makes me wonder if AI music generators are a factor. I checked out some AI sites and tried them, and I was shocked by the quality of the music produced with just a few prompts and seconds to create a complete track. This made me very sad and disappointed, and to question whether I still see myself as a musician if someone without musical knowledge can do the same job.
The time and effort I put into creating music mixing and mastering it, but that damn thing make it in few seconds. This is not limited to music but photos, videos, voice, text, and others.
Do you think we are doomed? This is just the beginning. Can you imagine what this technology will be capable of in the coming years?
I think that reviewers should start using enhanced programs to detect AI generated content or just to work with trusted authors who have been here for a long time, otherwise, we are funked up

Currently, AI is more a tool but at the pace at which is advanced I fear it will take over everything that needs a computer and eventually life itself… right now chat GPT feels like it knows everything…

Heya! Welcome back!
Yeah, the AI phenomenon is gigantic and, as you say, it’s just taking baby steps. Personally, I’m not too disheartened. This seems to be how technology has always evolved. I mean, I wouldn’t have harpsichord based tracks without sample libraries, or 10 FX racks in my mixes and masters if plugins hadn’t come along. Guess we’ll have to roll with it and see where it leads.
As for our beloved Monitor, the truth is that AudioJungle sales have hit rock bottom. There’s no point in eternally reapiting that things are “Absolutely Dead” because, well, they are. We all know it. Just take a look at the most recent uploads from some fellow authors.
That said, it’s not all doom and gloom. If you’re invited to Elements, Envato can be a fairly decent side income (probably a main one for authors with large, high-quality portfolios, which, I’ll admit, isn’t my case). Plus, Elements increses your music’s exposure, which could also lead to an increase in CID earnings.
It might take a few months, but if you consistently upload good-quality tracks at a reasonable pace, you’ll probably receive that invitation.
Sorry I couldn’t paint a more glamorous picture, but…
Best of luck!
