Unless you have a huge audience, then it’s unlikely that any author is going to hand over a copy of their item for free.

With respect of you don’t have the audience then there is nothing in it for the author. Especially as they would then want/need to invest their own time to make sure that any review or tutorial is credible and accurate.
Then what’s to stop everyone just starting a new YouTube channel to get free items?
