I have the @blueskytechco theme version V1.1.8 installed on Magento 2.4.2.
It’s a store that was started by someone else, and they claim that they activated the theme with a license, and that I can just change the domain to now put the store into production.
Can you guide me on how to proceed with this?
You would need to ask the author because if the theme has been activated and used, then it may require a new license to use elsewhere.
As you didn’t buy the current copy it would be advisable to buy your own license either way because without that you will not have access to any support or more importantly updates that are released.

Don’t waste your time, purchase a new copy on a new account that you could create for the client ( that you could give the login details - in case it happens again so they could access the updates )
As you’re not the one who purchased the item, you won’t be able to request a domain change as well as you don’t have “active support” period, therefor, you’d be ending up getting a new license. In addition, you’re required to get a new license anyway for a new domain/new end-product.
