I got my first referral but I didn't get a badge

Hello.
I sent a friend my videohive referral link and he registered through it but I didn’t get the badge for my first ref. He hasn’t bought anything. Is that why I didn’t get the badge?

He does need to buy something first, as that is what Envato considers a “referral” - and badges can take up to a day to appear, in my experience, but the earnings should reflect immediately.
